I will refer you back to what Nass wrote on the thead of what your "average" field consisted of shall I? We all have our favourites, but what this horse has done is set in stone no-one can argue against, especially if you know anything about racing. Various racing people, including the likes of Fallon and such also commented on it being one of the best Arc's in history.

i think i know a wee bit jo and i bet you can get stats up like that for most of the arcs if you have the time to do it.fallon would say that anyway coz he came second....youmzains position says it was no better than the previous two at least

Small bit being the operative word when you won't acknowledge what this horse has done and just seem intent on knocking him.

I just want to know your theory as to why it wasn't a strong race when you look at the races the opposition had won. It you can tell me reasons behind feeling like that then I may be able to understand your statement.

all i said was i bet if you went through most of the arcs then you would get the same amount of horses winning the same amount of group races give or take one or two....youmzains position suggests it was a "nothing special" arc compared to the previous two...never once in the last two posts suggested sts wasnt a great horse, but as usual you picked out what you wanted so you could suggest i new very little!!

Well firstly this was a faster Arc the two previous years. Less than 2 seconds outside Peintre Celebre's record. It was also quicker than Dancing Brave's.

But like I say, wait till the season is over to see where he will officially rate in th history books. I will never be able to change your mind, nor would you be able to change mine. As I have said so many times to you, it is all about which horse you prefer, and is dear to you. The battle will rage on for all time, as it always has done. That is what makes Sport so rich and popular. The purists however now and in time to come however will only look at the official.

I don't need any rating or list of what horses they beat to know that Sea The Stars is a truly exceptional animal and the likes I had never seen before. During the race I said to my dad, if he wins from here then this is the best horse I have ever seen, guess what, he won and I will stand by that statement for however long it takes for the next superstar to appear.

What we watch the sport for, for these horses. And now from one superstar to the next, Kauto Star and Master Minded to light up the winter game. Living in rich times.
