TWEENHILLS STUD stallion Ishiguru, winner of the Flying Five Stakes at Leopardstown, has been put down at the age of 11 following complications from a kneeinjury
He was retired to Tweenhillsin Gloucestershire in 2003 and his best progeny to date has been Hellvelyn, winner of the Coventry Stakes and runner-up in the Group 1 Phoenix Stakes in 2006.
Further stakes winners include Ferneley, winner of Del Mar Handicap in the US two weeks ago, and She's Our Mark, winner of the Desmond Stakes as a three-year-old and the Meld Stakes this spring. She also finished fifth in the Pretty Polly Stakes last year.
Tweenhills Stud director David Redvers said: "We are inconsolable at theloss of a fantastic horse. He had a wonderful temperament and after a tremendous amount of hard work his progeny were beginning to establish results that made him such an asset to mare owners, both here and in New Zealand."
