so you have never ever once in your life told or laughed at a joke which the punch line is seen as racist?

If you say no then i dont believe you, if you say yes then my point is valid.

Once again Jo youve taken something personaly that someone has said  when it was not directed at or towards you.

well im guessing 95% of people have sent or laughed at them matt.theres maybe a place for a party like this but not as racist as some of them that run it..we do seem to be a landing point for the dregs of europe and i can see why many resent it......i couldnt vote for them but i can see why some do.i have several friends who vote bnp but they are in no way racist.its the extremes of the party that are wrong.

Of course I have with jokes. And I have friends of different colours and religions who take the jokes in the way they meant, and send ones round about women, the old favourites Scotsman, Irishman and Englishman (which if you so choose could see as racist) etc etc, and we laugh at those. You just use your judgement on who would find them offensive.

Most normal people take them how they are meant. It is just the minority PC brigade that moan about it, and then try to say everyone should think the same.

The big difference is the BNP want an all white state, they want to evict British Nationals if they are anything but white. Of course we have immigration issues that need to be addressed. That is not how you do it. If you fall for the hollow views they put out to the "public" and don't understand they don't believe any of that, they have one objective then if you vote them in you will reap what you sow. I will no longer be in the Country so it will be your problem. The other politically party who has the same plan in the not so distant past was a little part called the Nazi Party, and if you don't know how that turned out, do a little history research and also speak to the Veterans who fought them.

Jo, I think you are missing Matt's point slightly. No one is defending the bnp with regards to their all white state etc, he is just saying that there are parts of their manifest that we can all relate to.

For example I would bring back captial punishment, not in the way that the bnp want it though, so that does not make me a bnp follower.

Very small parts. Like I have said they jump on the band wagon of popular subjects, especially emotive ones and say what everyone wants to hear in order to get the voters and followers. This is just a mask for their real motives. If I actually thought they believed in what they are saying I would give them more credence. I think it is a failure of the government that people are feeling the need to even listen to this group, but in a way hopefully it will make the legitimate parties buck their ideas up and listen to the public. Then this facist party can be driven away once again where it belongs. In the gutter.

All politicians jump on the band wagon.
Take when international sporting events happen they all want to been seen supporting the teams even if they have no knowledge of whether its Football, Cricket, Rugby or Tiddlywinks. If they have the chance to gain some more voters they do it!

I must say I watched Question Time, as usual, and thought it was a shambles of a show, the BBC changed the format and Dimbleby really didn't cover himself in glory with his management of the show from the Chair.

I came away from the show with numerous thoughts -

1 - How appalling the BBC are to change the show to try and abuse Nick Griffin, if they wanted him on, they should have talked about the weeks issues rather than his past.

2 - Nick Griffin is a prat.

3 - The BNP are only working on apathy, they can spout any tosh they want, its only the demise of Labour and the rise of silver spooned Cameron fronted Conservatives that are helping them on their way.

4 - The Conservative Baroness was superb, a proper politician with proper views and willing to talk about the real subjects at hand. She should be in the cabinet when they get voted in.

5 - Jack Straw, a poor poor effort and refused to answer questions. This is why the voting public dislike politics so much.

6 - Have I got News for you - Brilliant work and top stuff in regards the whole issue.

I would never vote BNP but then again, many will never vote.

I agree Katch they all do, the difference is the other Parties despite their failings and poor choices. They do not have facist beliefs and want to impose them on a Nation. Last time that happened, our brave men and women paid with their lives defending us from it.

If you don't vote then you deserve to have a poor government.
