What a load of betty swallocks. Apart from Dubai Millenium in the recent times. What more does this poor horse have to do? Die to make them happy? Even then they would doubt him. Dubai Millenium was the best I had seen since 1985, this guy is the best I believe I have seem now.
Good news, owes no one anything. Legend in his own time and certainly the best horse I have seen in my lifetime. Here is wishing for a long and happy retirement and look forward to his future boys and girls.
I am in my mid-thirties and have no hesitation in saying that Sea The Stars is the best in my lifetime.
People can talk about Dancing Brave and Dubai Millennium etc, but if we put "medals on the table", STS beats them hands down.
Just to turn up fit and well for a Group 1 in May, June, July, August, September and October is a major achievement in itself. To win the lot is nothing short of remarkable.
Whilst on the subject of comparing different generations, Tyson whips Ali, Maradona beats Pele, and Woods beats Nicklaus !
I'll let the STS comment pass me by, i'm also mid thirites, and I'm in the Dancing Brave camp.
However, to talk about Tyson in the same breath as Ali is shows an ignorance of the highest order imo. Tyson beat nobody in his career, nobody, yet Ali fought other greats in Frazier, Foreman (In his prime), Norton, Holmes to mention a few. I couldn't even have Tyson in a greatest to Top 10.

Well we'll all have to wait till after the Breeders Cup and the Champion Stakes to see where he finally rates. The reason why the majority of the the racing fraternity and also the public believe he is better is because he was the whole package. If you know anything about horses, for him not to blow at all after his races is incredible. 6 months at the top, with each performance better than the previous. And to win one of the strongest Arc's assembled at the end of that 6 months in the manner her did, pulling Kinane's hands out of his socket for almost half the race, got baulked and still cruised to the win. He also broke the track record in the Eclipse.
