I know this forum is not registered as a site for learning, but i tend to come on here to gain insight into everyones opinions and knowledge of horse racing. Reson being, so i may to become as knowledgeable about the sport as several of you on the forum.
I'm hoping as moderators you can help me. I would like to request a mentour or an offer of mentouring, basic learning for someone who is not as familiar with all aspects of horseracing like myself. Just so i can develop my insight and have the confidence to feel that i do know what im talking about.
Having a section of subjects to learn over a period of time and to write a piece on an area. Once done maybe write a thesis/ article on whatever piece i was to learn. Any help or offer would be appreciated. I know it would not be a registered qualification but to me it would mean alot.
It would be a plan that could also help other horseracing fledglins..just a suggestion _________________ The Racing Host
Always have the courage of your convictions otherwise you may aswell never put another bet on.
You have to have belief in your own opinions, 99% of the time only one horse will win any race so plenty of people will have got it wrong with their opinions.
And learn from your betting mistakes...... _________________ King Kieren is an innocent man!
RH-i applaud the fact that you want to learn more about racing.i love racing but im not at all knowledgeable about all aspects of the sport.i know enough to muddle through.if there's any way i could help you then dont hesitate to ask.
im sure you will get many offers of help from the more knowledgeable members of the forum, and im sure you will be a superb contributor to this site
thanks for the encouragement one thing i havent had the confidence to comment on is handicapping, anybody reccomend any articles/links or own explination (lamens terms) on how wights are issued, to each horse and why? i understand that the higher the rating the more weight a horse will be issued with but how are the weights alloted?and are there a standard amount of weughts that can be issued? _________________ The Racing Host
