Summer Squall who won the Preakness Stakes in 1990 has been euthanized aged 22.

He was a half brother to A.P Indy and sired 1999 US Horse of the Year Charasmatic during his distinguished stud career where he stood his entire time at Lane's End.

Pensioned in 2004, some of his other well known progeny include Storm Song, Summer Colony and Summerly. His stud record reads 244 winners and 34 Stakes winners from 12 crops.
