Sizing Europe won today by 17 lengths. Having watched the replay of the race it was actually very impressive, jumping immaculately and barely touched a tig all the way around.

Now as low as 8/1 for the Arkle.

Skinny odds too soon? Favourites dont win the Arkle but on this form he'll certainly be one of them.

Anyone else see the race?

Its on Attheraces.com if anyone is a member.

Yep saw the race and he looked very good. Harchibald also looked like he enjoyed it too. Both jumped beatifully.

all stats say that at 8 he can't win the Arkle. And obviously at 11 Harchi can't either.
But you never know, he certainly does look high class....

Given the performance yesterday there is no stat that could convince even me that he can't win the 2010 Arkle.

much as I love Harchibald I don't think Sizing Europe beat much yesterday. yes he did it easily but I'd like to see a lot lot more before thinking about betting him for March.
Stat a) too old
Stat b) no course form
Sta c) no festival form

Not saying he can't do it, but you know these will be rolled out if he makes it there in one piece. But given his history that is far from certain.

I know its an "if" but I genuinely think he'd have won Katchit's Champion Hurdle easily if he hadnt pulled up lame in the back straight.

We'll see some course form soon enough but I wouldnt be put off backing him now if anti post was my thing.

It was turning for home when he pulled up but yes I agree completely, he looked to be cruising. As you say, we'll never know....

I can't be having Sizing Europe due to its fragility. If it gets to Cheltenham fit then it has to be considered. The Arkle has to be the option.

All the rage with the bookies for the Arkle. Into 8/1 now.
