It always turns my stomach when I read these stories. Unfortunately this one personally affects me. Some nasty little kids have gone and trashed a graveyard. My best friend who died aged 25 a few years ago is buried there. I am hoping and praying that hers isn't invoved, but from the looks of what they have done I doubt it. It's made me feel so angry and devastated. All they have received is a stern talking too, as they are under 10. Locally we are calling for a name and shame them. Especially the parents. Lovely area appart from the scummy estate opposite the graveyard. Going to lean on my editorial dept to take this further.
It beggars belief that some people call themselves parents. Firstly what the hell were kids of this age doing there on their own, and secondly do parents not instill a sense of simple right or wrong and respect in their kids. These disgusting things are more and more frequent because so many parents just don't give a toss. I am under 30, so wasn't a child that long ago, and I would never of even entertained the idea of what these yobs roaming the streets do, nor would my parents not of known where I was and what I was doing. This country has massive social problems.
On personal note I am going to visit Gina's grave tomorrow to make sure it is ok, and replace the flowers they have trashed.
