The intention of this competition is that we get to follow the progress of some of the lesser lights of the NH scene, in that consistent performers will receive greater rewards than those who only turn out 3 or 4 times a year.

Any questions - please put them here, and start to think about those you will pick, I will put up a new thread nearer the end of the month so that you can name your six horses.

My intention is to update daily with any runners entries/performances, so those of you that may wish to have a bet on them can get advance warning.

Rules –

Select 6 horses

Points –

10 for a win
6 for a second
3 for a third
1 for completing the course (ie not an F, PU, UR etc)

Qualifying Races between 1st November and 1st May

On the first of each month (December, January, February, March, April) you can change one of the horses previously selected.

As regular readers  of the Chuckle will know I am no great fan of the daily tipping leagues but this looks an excellent idea and an event that will guarantee interest for several months.  Good one, jr old boy.

Dr Sir Barney will definately be entering!

Mart - I am getting a few publications through in the next couple of weeks, so I could do a separate thread with the suggestions from the books, if that helps.

Jr, I'm just finalising my entry.  Are we allowed to include horses trained in Ireland or is it just England, Scotland and Wales?

I am toying with a few Irish trained horses, so by all means, you are free to select horses trained over there.
