High class miler Cesare is to make a shock debut over hurdles. Trainer James Fanshawe says he has been enjoying schooling, and believes he should stay at least 2 mils. Should see him either end of November or start of Decemeber.

Interesting.

surely won't stay 2m even on the sharpest of tracks? And isn't he about 6 or 7 year old by now?

He's 8. His brother is Trenchant. He is also related to other hurdlers.

Could make his debut in the Knighton Novices' Hurdle over 2m at Leicester a week thurs or at Doncaster on the 12th Dec. Currently 50/1 for the Champion Hurdle and 33/1 for the Supreme Novice's.
