I know we have discussed this before (ie when dear ol Jack was on the meds), but i feel i have to advise people of the current ad which seems to be displayed on most pages of the forum;
"you are our 999.999 visitor!.....congratulations! thats why you have been selected to win a car: audi a3.............etc etc"
i believe this is a scam and personally would like to make you aware of this and hence avoid users from getting caught!
The reason why I did not reply is in all honesty I could not add to what Mart said.
Personally I would say you see banners like that all over the interent and we all know they are scams or potential viruses etc, so we stay well clear.
I am not sure if it can be removed, that is something that you would need Jo to reply on. I would suggest you PM her and I am sure she will reply sooner rather than later.

Thanks for your reply SP, though 'we', me, you, Mart etc may well be 'wise' others who are not that aware of the pros and 'cons' of the internet may not.
And, if some poor unfortunate gets 'done' he/she may well mention this site (not directly of course), but if taking up a matter with a legal body.
Hey, i'm just trying to pre-warn, just in case.
The reason i didn't PM Jo, was as per Jo's reply above (as i thought that would be the answer) ..."its what we do and thats that!" type of answer and you know re footy posts re FA Cup tickets, Jo didnt even reply to my offer...
I don't own the site. It is owned by myfreeforum.org. I am pretty sure the explanation will be the same as I have given. Nearly all of the internet do this so there really isn't anything that can be done I am afraid.
thanks for those comments r&w,much appreciated.i think that as its a free site,owned by myfreeforum,jo has no control over what ads are put onto the site.jack pays for his site and chose betting firms to advertise on it to help pay for it
