Arsenal fans are an absolute disgrace. So they think it's ok for them to dish out abuse for 90 minutes, but then can't take it when Adebayor gives it back. For the record, Liverpool fans were the same when Gary Neville did the same a few years ago.

Either put up or shut up !

Some of the abuse was totally unacceptable. It wasn't banter.... much of it was disgusting and degrading, bordering on hateful racism. Very odd considering that Arsenal have a long history of black and foreign players in their team. I guess it illustrates just how thick many football fans are.

Makes me laugh how as part of a crowd they thought they were big and tough. Put any of them up against Adebayor on a 1 to 1 basis and it would be brown pants time.

Where did you hear about that? Just wondered, I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere in the media which is interesting, even on MOTD they made no reference to any abuse he'd been getting, while condeming his actions.

Aside from that I don't like the guy as a professional footballer, while he was at Arsenal he was no team player and tried to engineer his move to Milan a year or two ago... can understand why he is so unpopular with the Arsenal fans although not to excuse that kind of abuse.

As for the van Persie incident, it was very naughty but it was a split second action, it wasn't pre-meditated. Still it's deserving of a suspension I think, I reckon he'll get a 4-match ban but then who knows what will happen on appeal.... after Eduardo got off his ban with Uefa for diving. Had to laugh when he was still trying to justify that he was actually brought down!

What's the point in dishing out punishments and trying to make an example of someone for the good of the game, if they can just be rescinded on appeal.

They were singing the "Elephant song".

Search it on Youtube..... "Tottenham adebayor song"

The Eduardo thing is a complete farce. UEFA realised that they would open the floodates and basically bottled it !

I think it goes to show just how stupid Arsenal fans are when Ian Wright goes on record saying that they can dish it out but cant take it back. That's coming from their God.

I think it was pure genius his celebration, We'd all have done the same thing and its not like he was even abusive, he was just rubbing it in. As for the stamp, fair enough he did it. Punishment to follow.

I've said it before, Arsenal fans are just horrific, they turn their back at the earliest possible convenience, on any player that throws a strop, I bet they've thrown a strop when something hasnt gone right in their job....

Personally they should get on the back of the boss of theirs who hasnt won them anything or improved them in 5 seasons. Their about to loose the most over rated midfielder in the world as well in Fabregas. Now he is a nasty little piece of work. Arsenal wont get in the top four this season, Mark my words, and their fans dont deserve it.

Good post Matt.

They say that Adebayor was forever courting a move to Barca, Real, Milan etc and that's why he is loathed. However, didn't Henry and Vieira do the same every summer? And Fabregas is doing it right now. Every other day there is something in the press about him going to Barca or Real.

I am completely gosmacked by the "lack" of radio coverage talksport have given Adebayor this week. Gobsmacked too at the disgusting spit John Snotter Terry had to endure at the hands , or mouth, of the croatian forward.

Sometimes football and its coverage totally pisses me off. Might need to follow another sport...motor racing, that seems straightforward enough. A to A with no shenaghigans.....

Arkle..... I know your views on Motor Racing. I think you're more likely to slash your wrists than start watching that shite.
